I have seen people use it on other forums, but has anyone on here used the stuff? What are your thoughts?

I was at Advanced Auto Parts today and they had it on sale for the month of Sept so it got me thinking about it.

I use it all the time at work on small engines, I have never put it in any of my trucks or cars. People seem to like it but I hear it smokes like a freight train of a few in the trucks.

Good Stuff, did wonders for my mover, I recommend not putting it into your oil until a couple hundred miles before you change it,but thats just my personal opinion.

I've never done the smoke screen deal where you suck it into a vacuum line and stall out the engine, but on my wife's car I have put it in the crankcase a couple hundred miles before changing the oil and added the rest to the gas tank. I did it as part of an overall tuneup on her car at 85k miles. Hard to say how much the sea foam helped but the car runs a lot better over all now.

use it every other oil change. in the crank case a couple hundred miles before changing, in the gas tank, and suck it into the intake manifold and smoke out all the neighbors.

I'm a seafoam fan. I use it once a year in everything. Truck, car, boat, mower, etc.

My brother uses it religiously. Im not a big fan of additives in general. In fact in almost every owners manual Ive ever read it recommends that you do no use additives. Regular maintenance is the key to keeping stuff in good health.

Use it for mass clean ups. On rigs with issues to help w/ fixing the issues.

Smells terrible .. But sure gets the job done.

With all these positive reviews I am going to have to try some. It is on sale at the local advance for about $5.

Now what way of using it gets the best results? Putting it in with the gas or sucking it in through a vacuum line?

When I did mine I didn't do the oil cause i didn't want to clog up the oil pump and have to drop the pan and all that raz. So I put half in the tank then took the booster ling off the brake booster and put the seafoam in a plastic cup and had the truck suck it up. You may want to have someone sit in the truck to keep it running or it will die if you put it in too fast. Warning the Seafoam will eat the plastic cup like gasoline. But it lasted long enough to get it all in there. After I got it all in there let it sit for about 15 to 20 min then cranked it over and gave it hell. Great way to find exhaust leaks. lol
