I play with Red a little and traction has always been an issue. So my question is how do you manage NO2 and still have enough traction to make a decent run? I've never run spray so know nothing about it. Share your experiences.
This ought to be fun!

i cant speak from experience because i've never run no2, but if im correct, usually you dont fire the funny gas until after the first shift. In second gear only extremely high hp rides will slip. Get through 1st gear as fast as possible then the boosty gas takes you the rest of the way.

again, i could be wrong.

Half way through second will be over mid track on a stock cam though. With Drs people have shot it out of the hole but you will need to get drag shocks and DRs or Slicks. How much you planning on hitting it with and you will need cooler plugs and a nitrous tune unless you plan on running race fuel.

If I decided to run gas I would buy a complete kit and read the instruction a couple of times to get a feel for it. I saw a window switch that looked like it could be dialed in pretty easily. It can be set to skip 1st and come on in second or just come on in third. I think the kit was adjustable from 50hp-125hp. But you start adding on all the goodies and the price can run up pretty quick. But it is still very cheap hp if it doesn't eat anything. But I do like that confused look the mustang drivers have as they follow me back to the staging lanes. lol

So you just want it to cruise around town with? Cant see a point of doing it if its just for that. But for your question, spray at mid second, I have seen people use it off the line though with some slicks. If you want some more traction though, get better tires.

Let me talk to a buddy of mine, he is a mechanic with his inspection license and has an RX7 that has alot of spray, I think he knows the laws.

Ryan,
No, I would only be interested in using spray at the track and even then I wouldn't advertise. Although hadn't thought about there being any laws. So in that case maybe having the bottle mounted in a box in the bed would be best with everything remote switched in the console.

Ahh, so you schedule your arrests?

Just tell them "you can't take me alive". That always seems to work out well.

just mount it behind the seat like onebadbee...it would be hard to hide it from others...well, at least til you get to the staging lanes cuz you'll want to purge it for safety sake. wire it like mine to a cigarette lighter switch, easy to hide when not in use...

can't afford remote bottle opener..keep it close...
