I wanna get new tires soon. Mine just dont fit the look i want.
I have the stock 17" chrome wheels. Whats the widest tire i can i fit? Im not so good with conversion so if you Can put it in metric that would be great. I am at work. So it may take a couple hours for me to respond to any questions.

Thanks
Nick

On metric first number is width and second number is aspect ratio

I have 305/70/17 with no rubbing problems. But my truck has t bars cranked a little. Previous owner told me he had 315/70/17 on this truck with no problems, but t bars were cranked all the way and it was a rougher ride, according to him.

I posted a similar topic last week and received mixed reviews. I have the same wheel as you and am looking to do the exact same thing, however I have a 2" level in the front. FWIW, I was told 285/70/17 is the widest we could go, any wider would rub unless we ran 1/4"+ spacers. Hope this helps.

Soo they stopped teaching sae? Thats a shame, how about miles and kilometers, or ferenheit and celcius? I'm no genius at conversion either, but the other way lol.

^sounds about the normal upgraded size for the 17's. Nick have you picked out a few styles you want because some companys skip around the sizing chart.

been looking at a few. i really like Difinity tires. have the dakota A/T and they are great. and they have another A/T that looks more aggressive. but also thinking about the BFG A/T. i dont do any offroading anymore but i like the looks of aggressive tires
