Wanting to see your guys opinions on trading my 2007 Dodge Ram 4X4 QC in for a Challenger?

I still owe on my truck but I think I could get at least $3500 over what I owe. My dilemma is that I have a sportbike that I like to take to the track. I have found a couple of people who have towed a light trailer with a Challenger. Eventually once I got settle and modded the car a little I would be looking for a 2003-05 Dodge Ram RC 2WD for a track hauler.

The LX (LC) platforms are a joy to drive, especially when you modify them! Danny

I think the Challengers are beautiful, but huge and over-weight.
I'd pass.

I had a 2013 Challenger RT 6 speed and miss it everyday, had to trade it for the truck. Its wasnt the fastest thing around but was a sexy comfortable car that was a blast to drive. I personally wouldnt pull anything with it but Im sure it can be done.

I don't know man. I couldn't do without my truck. And I definitely wouldn't attempt to pull a trailer with my dads SRT.

Please don't put a trailer hitch on a Challenger! I see old men pulling their Harley's from time to time with their Corvettes! Just never made sense to me but I am a truck guy and will always try to keep my truck. Good luck with whatever you decide!

It all depends on your life style. If you need to haul or pull things often, of course you may want to keep your truck, or trade in for a newer model. But, if you want to be a little lower to the ground and want a more sporty vehicle, the Challenger would be nice.

Challengers are great, I think it is funny when folks say they are over weight, have you looked at what a BMW M5/M6 weighs in at, or even the newer Mustangs and Camaro's with the V8's. All the safety and electronic gizmo's add weight. I have an 09 SRT and it is a blast...

I don't need the fastest car out there. I don't plan on racing it. I do plan to mod and have fun driving it.

Why do people always throw fits over towing with cars? I would of course mod the suspension and get a custom made hitch that could support 3500lbs but be hidden. I had no problems towing my with mustang 4k miles to the race track and "The Dragon". If I do trade in the truck I would buying another about a year later.

Probably because cars are not made for towing. If they were then I'm sure that they would offer a tow package from the factory as an option. When you mod the suspension for towing, you hurt the handling characteristics. Its totally your decision and if you want a Challenger that tows then go for it!

I think with the me, trailer, bike, and gear it would all weigh less than 1100 lbs. After looking into how much I owe I think I will keep my truck and pay it off and buy another racebike.

Yeah dude its a bit sketchy towing on a car its not made for that kind of stress even with a modified suspension. Challengers are nice and all but in reality it comes down to what do you need more? A car or a truck? With the money you would spend making that car tow ready you can always buy something affordable to be your work horse and not have to abuse your challenger.
