if your truck was a 4th gen i would say its an easy question for me..LOL On the 4th gen. there is a neutral button right below the knob for switching to 4 wheel drive. Hopefully somebody with a 3rd gen that knows will chime in soon.

mine also has the button below the 4x4 knob
<N looks like that and you need a toothpick or similar to push it. although ive never actually put it in Neutral

Yeah, I was trying to remember what my old 08 was set up as. Nim is dead on - toothpick or paper clip hole to pop it in N.
