Hi, I'm new to the Forum. I've had a 2003 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.7L Hemi for about 4 years now. My wife loves the truck. I chose it over a Ford 150 since the interior was nicer. I like the truck too.
My question is, is it possible to swap the 5 speed Auto for a 6 speed auto. A friend is parting out a 2007 (I think) 1500 Hemi with a six speed auto and it would give me better mileage on the highway if I were able to make the swap. I used to swap engines and trannys on older cars back in the day. I'm just wondering if there is something more like changing a chip in the ECU.
