Got some new toys. New rear bumper and a new tailgate.

Now if I could just find a black, rust free bedb64fb27e333ef9e35ad31745d9ce407c.jpg

Just get one and paint it
That's probably what I'll do.

Bumper and tailgate are on. Tailgate was supposed to be prepainted my paint code but it's a little off and it looks like there's a slight crease. I'll get that taken care of when I get a new bed. It's much better than before though. cca0d7a52f8eedcfc6cfdcf35ffc9226.jpga263d9f9163f615c828e10275121b5c9.jpg

I did the key trick to get the automatic door unlock function back. My doors would never unlock when I opened the driver door from the inside, I always had to hit the unlock button for the rear doors. Now they unlock as soon as open my driver door. It’s a small thing but it always annoyed me

What is the key trick for that? Mine do what yours did and it is annoying!

That tailgate looks like it could use a good sanding and polish, and ill tell ya now, that crease wont come out easy, as a body guy, that appears to be a wrinkle more than a crease, and on such a wide and straight panel, it will be hard for any bodyshop to maie it straight, it will honestly be cheaper to replace the tailgate

Yeah that's what I was worried about. I just replaced it too, oh well.

I just put everything back to stock cuz I've decided I'm gonna sell it. My commute just got longer and I can't afford to pick up a commuter and have two vehicles.

So keep an eye out for my stuff for sale.

All this rain is really driving me crazy.

Hoping sometime this weekend I'll be able to finally install my fan clutch to get rid of that god-awful squealing. Other than that, picked up 2 sets of 2008 Ram emblems, I figure I'd plastidip them black and put them on someday.

Been going through my truck and correcting a few issues that have been nagging me, like a busted fog lamp, hood wouldn’t stay open, etc. I used to have an ‘03 5 or 6 speed dually single cab that had cab/ runner lights. Now I’ve been driving an ‘05 2500 single cab lwb and am thinking about installing those lights on this one as I like the look and think it would fit. Any opinions? Amazonian has a well reviewed kit for around $90.

Thanks, but yeah I’ve browsed the kits out there, was more asking about the opinions on aesthetics.

Well I'll be picking up my new car tomorrow (edit: took until Friday) so I've got all the stuff from my truck to sell. I'll still be around though cuz I'm gonna get another 3rd gen sometime in the next couple years once life settles down.

Edit: I'll repost my stuff for sale in the classifieds area in the next few days.

New fan clutch installed, the old fan was surprising not an extreme PITA to loosen, especially for being on for 12 years

Turns out the fan clutch wasn’t the only noise maker. A/C compressor clutch bearing is making the “I’m too old for this” squeal as well. Probably a dealer or mechanic project but it’ll get done sometime. Other than that enjoyed the suspiciously nice weather
