I am looking to buy a new car (had to sell my old ram a while back).. I am looking for 2005-2008 all black.. 4wd, hemi, quad cab
I am trying to stay under $20,000 and hopefully under 60,000 miles. I am really not sure what good prices would be for how many miles are on the car and also depending on the year of the model.

Sometimes I see some for 13k when they got 50,000 miles on them and some still around 18k when they got 80,000 miles on them. (I have been looking on autotrader, usedcar.com, cars.com and craigs list btw. )
Is there a certain amount of miles on the car that I should not try to buy? Like if there is 90,000 on the car should I try to stay away from that bc it may not last me as long?
I plan on taking great care as I did with my old one like changing all oils and general matinence..
Today on craigs list I saw ````°2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Black Truck Pickup Quad Cab !!! LIKE NEW !!!°``` wich I thought the price is very low.
Ofcorse I am going to have to get a good look at any car I buy, I was just wondering what advice you guys had and any tips on what to look for when buying a ram.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading!!

depends on you're location, with prices. i see them here in north Texas all day long for $15k and under, with less then 70k miles.

here is my take. any vehicle you buy,you will want it to last as long as possible, right? it has been a few years since i bought a used vehicle, but i have ALWAYS made sure the seller had ALL maintenance records, that way you know it has been taken care of,and not neglected.

90k miles would be fine,IF they have maint. records. also,Dodge trucks do not hold their value unless it is CTD,my truck, when it had 60k miles,in perfect condition, only blue booked at $14k,that was a 4 yr old 07(did it last year)

to sum it up,you should be able to find an 08,loaded,4x4 lone star QCSB 5.7 for under 20k pretty easily.

The 4x4 actually hold their value pretty well, at least in the fact that it's around a $4,000 option new and adds $4,000 to the value over a 2wd according to kbb values

look for a southern truck man. the lower price you could pay, will be worth it. ive seen 07-08 models in the north that are already rusted, thats no good.

Maybe to give you a little idea, my brother in-law just bought a 2004 Black quad cab with Hemi for $11k. It was only 2wd but only has like 55k miles. This may give you an idea of about where to start. This was in Kansas City, MO.

I'd look south if I were you. Texas usually has the best price for trucks because there's so damn many of them.

I got my 06 back in late 2009 for 12,100 with 48K on it. From a dealership

Plus if you were to buy on down south and drive it back up, if anything happens it'll be under the dealer's warranty. Also would be a good time to bond with your truck.
