3/6 is a nice stance
I like it to be 3" more in back the front
I did my c notch yesterday so this weekend I'll be about 5/8 give or take a bit
Like she said you will need to roll fenders on stock rims
I'm on a 265/35/22 tire with a good offset so I didn't have to roll mine

Like I said, the math suggests a 3/6 without going into body work. I didn't want to "invest" in another set of tires either.

That being said I want to thank everyone for their input. I knew you guys & gals would come through (again). :patriot:

So, is 3/6 kitted? Any preferred vendor suggestions? I saw stylintrucks on a previous page.

I agree. Like I mentioned earlier, your fenders are going to hate you if you run anything taller than a 30" tire with 6" drop out back.

Nobody makes a 3/6, but what you would do is grab a 2/4 drop. Use your factory shackles instead of the longer ones that are supplied with the kit. This will give you the 6" drop out back. Up front, you can use coils and cut them for an extra 1" of drop, but that is going to make it very tough to align. I had 2.5" front drop on my 03, and it was maxed out as far as alignment specs go. To have it done right, you are going to want drop spindles, and then trim a little off your factory coils for that extra 1" of front drop.

Here is what my 03 looked like with a 2.5/5 drop and 305/40/22 tires (31.5" tall tire)

Looking at starting here:

44003 McGaughy's - McGaughys Lowering Kit At StylinTrucks.com

Since I recently replaced my rear tires I'm not crazy about replacing them again with 20's. So I'll install a 2/4.5 for now and run with that. If I like the look I'll just keep it. If I want more (strong possibility) then I'll change the tires & suspension at the same time.

How about that price from the link up there ^ ? Can I do better?

I would consider going with Moes for happily providing the time assisting with your questions. I checked the price on that site you posted and if you factor in shipping (i did my zip) it was higher than what moes has listed.

Moes Performance

I would be happy to check out Moe's.

Ummmmm

I have all of the parts now. Ready to go. However, I have recent intel that suggests that I may be getting in deeper to the Mod. Brakes. Am I going to be replacing front brake pads sooner now? Is the geometry shift so significant that I will need better rotors & pads? What did you guy & gals find?

Your new suspension isnt going to have any affect on your brakes. Where people have to upgrade their brakes is when they add a heavy set of 22" wheels and tires with their drop.

Back-The-Truck-Up

Um. Re-considered this mod. For now. I got the Ram Truck Bug very early and I was very impressed with the rake on this one. Considering I worked in the Body Shop in the Fenton Plant for a spell... I got to build a few, and see them roll out. I'm gonna let the "Drop it like you mean it" thread fizzle. I expect a snowy winter up here so I wanted to see how the stock set-up handled. I really appreciate all of the helpfull advice and guidance you guys N gals have offered. It didn't fall on deaf ears. I heard you.

Just gonna wait on this one. OK?
