So after i did my McG's drop kit, i decided my truck was gonna need some help in the rear if i was gonna tow my motorcycle trailer now. Stock it sat rear end high and would go to level with the trailer on. But now, with the trucks static hight LEVEL , she was gonna squat! After doing the flip kit and not finding what i was looking for, and not justifying the $300 kit. I took matters into my own hands! Working at a semi truck fab shop, i have access to some cool stuff! so with a little imagination, i made my own kit starting with some peterbuilt cab bags! ($50 each and readily avaiable everywhere!) I figured id make use of the old leaf spring pads and build off them! did some measuring on my bag compressed and extended lengths to find my mounting heights. and BOOM! this is how it went! hope you enjoy!
I started by figuring my base location....then mocked up the bag.
