Alright, I'm sure I already did a post about this, but I couldn't find it.

And write ups about it? I'm about to buy my own and do it.

Lol. It lowers the back end of your truck, where the back axle is over your leaf springs, a flip kit lowers it by flipping it, so itd be axle, then leaf spring.

Thanks for the bump

Flip kits are pretty damn easy. Just remove the leafs, slide em under bolt it back together.

then... and this is THE single most important part.

WELD THE BRACKETS TO THE AXLE!

I didn't do this very important step (which, it never mentions you have to do). My brackets allowed the axle to twist, shot my pinion through my bed, twisted my driveshaft... Huge mess. All because I didn't tack weld 2 stupid little brackets.

No problem bud.

Will do, dad said no because I don't have a real job. I babysit, and now lawns, I don't care. It's a source of $$$. So I'm just gonna do it anyways and dad can sit out on this one.

Yep weld the perches w/ the flip kit. Just read a new thread today of a member snapping the perches causing the axle diff to point downwards.

couple of minutes of tack welds can save a lot of hassle down the road.

It was welded completely on both sides instead of tack welded
