Hey new to thread but I've had some rubbing I have a 03 ram 1500 quad cab lowered with a mcgaueys 4/6 and the one inch shackles the drive shaft had been rubbing the crossmember under rear of cab only when flooring or launching but couldn't tell because of straight pipes in front of the rear tire while taking off hard it broke in half going to get a new one but what is there to prevent this from happening again besides raising the rear

I've got a 4/6 on my '02 and the only driveshaft problems I've had is the driveshaft rubbing against the exhaust hanger when the truck had 8 people in it. I trimmed the hanger and haven't had a problem with the driveshaft since.

did you shim it? how are you keeping the driveshaft from rotating upward (forcing the driveshaft upwards) under hard acceleration..

do you have a pic of your drop? I'd like to see how low it looks... I'll have to get underneath to see how close mine looks..

I have a 4/6 drop as well but there seems to be plenty of clearance on my crossmember, the axle would have to twist alot in order for it to meet the cross member..

Mine is lowered about the same as yours chefred (6/8ish), and I have no driveshaft rubbing issues. There seems to be a ton of clearance, but mine is a regular cab.
