I have the 2/4.5 spindle drop, 22 in rims, and brand new 305/40/22 tires. My wheels are sticking out past the fender a little, therefore causing my tires to hit the front fender lips on the highway or any big dip in the road. It is gettin on my last nerve and tearin up my fender lips and I dont want to mess up my new tires. This pic is lookin at the drivers side front tire

Wow! Eventually you may end up buckling the fender quarter.
Well you either raise the body, or lower the front axle. I would try 1/4 inch level. It wouldn't be off so much That it wouldn't look out of place. But I would start raising the ass end if that were not enough. In increments, with the front. If needed, You could ****can the tires and go with a lower profile, Idea Was dan's btw.Jmho.

Are the tires the same size as what you had? If I recall, the wheels are new right? Rolling the fenders isn't going to make a difference. You need a more narrow tire, or a wheel with less back spacing. Perhaps even a tire with a smaller side wall.

I got the rims a few months back from Jeremy. I had em on there before I dropped it, and ever since then it hits. 20s would look goofy i think. What backspacing on a rim would make it work? I think the tires are too wide + wide rims. really sucks

It's possible and this would make for an unsafe/rough ride.

Right, so what do yall think I can do? Get diff rims w/ a diff backspacing to pull in inwards? Go back to 20s? I just want it to not hit anymore

I have heard quite a few people having issues with a 305/xx/xx tire rubbing up front. Could be causing you issue too. Do you have a spindle drop or shorter springs up front?

The wheel is measured across the rear diameter of the rim, the distance from the back side of the center hole too the rim is your ''backspace. I would use a simple yard stick too determine the this, simply lay it across the wheel and then measure to the center hub, Thats how I did mine.

Hahahaha!! :D I'm really wishin I had went ahead and gotten a 4x4 like I originally wanted. I was seriously debating with myself yesterday to trade it in and get a Chally or 4th gen 4x4, but I don't want payments. Or, find someone w/ a 4x4 and trade them.... But I know once I get this figured out, I might start likin the truck again.

You may end up with a rub on the a-frame/ wheel well; if you get too much in the backspacing dept.
