I were to add some 2" drop shackles, remove the OL springs, and cut the first ring off of the front coils?

I would say 2-3" on rear, drop shackle will give you 1.5", and then the overload would go even further.

Really? I've always heard the 2" drop shackles were 1.5". Well then, okay!

I'm sure it's not an exact science. Mine was a 4x4 quad cab, while Truckin's is a 2x4 single cab. So I could be off a little. Have to see what Kristin says about her's I guess lol.

lol, well, I still have the OL springs on, but I've always heard they only drop it an extra 1/2". I have a pic with the 2" drop shackles, honestly, I could barely tell they even dropped it at all. So prolly an overall of maybe 2" total drop in the back?
It would prolly level it out some, but I noticed the massive leveling with my 2/4.5.
My truck still has a little bit of a rake to it.

Here it is:

I just don't want it to be to extreme of a drop up front. Basically want it to drop as it sits now straight down. So if goes a full 2" in the rear I'd want the front to drop about an inch to keep the raked look.

Sounds like your org thought would work good. Lower to the ground, less wind res.

I think if I remember right, from what I've heard the OL springs give you 0.5" drop, that would be a good combo with the look you're going for

When I installed drop shackles and removed the o/l leaf on my 05 the back sat slightly lower than the front. Maybe a half inch or so. I did have SRT calipers/spindles so that raised my front slightly.

Good to know, I am going to cut a ring or half a ring out of the coild as well to drop the nose a bit more to keep the raked look at the same time

I would say 2.2.5 in the rear. Visually i could not tell much difference in mine but it was very noticeable when going in and out of the bed. Went 4/6 2-3 years later.

Make sure you take some pics! :) Curious to see how cutting of the front coils go and ride quality.

Good luck bud!
