Ok so I have the whole kit but only plan on dropping the back of the truck and making it level for now. (Afraid my tires will rub on front if I drop it) so would I need to flip the rear axel or put the shackles on it to level it out? Or does it even matter?

Just for good measure here is a picture of it as it sits now!

Not sure if I completely understand. What is your tire size? I believe to just level out the back all you need is drop shackles, and nothing should rub.

If I drop the front 2" and back 4.5" I fear it will rub but if I just do drop shackles it should be ok? Or would it not rub if I do the full kit. It is 305/45/22 on the tires

(sorry for the broken English sound I am at work and can only type half a sentence at a time :p)

If you just drop the back it will definitely be okay, no rubbing, but with the size of those tires, I feel like a drop in the front will put it really close, but someone who has a drop kit will have to tell you.

I have the 2/4.5 with 305/45/22s and I have no problem. I only hit the front fenders on really bad bumps when going fast. I have the flip kit in the rear and drop spindles in the front. You won't rub. You will need smaller bump stops up front and you need to take off the rear ones. If you have any other questions just ask :)

You should have shock extensions for the rear as well. If not then you'll need to buy new shorter shocks. Those shackles should have a couple of holes you can choose from in order to lower the rear 4" or 4.5".

I had the same kit on my last Ram w/275/55/20's on it and the only thing the tires rubbed on where the wheel well liners I installed in the wheel wells of the bed. I do advise the air assist airbag system if you plan on hauling anything. It helped me out.

Other than that, I recommend drop shocks all around, and not the Nitro Drop IIs, get the Belltech Street Performance ones.

One last thing to mention. Make sure the factory leafspring perches get a good weld on all four corners because they weren't intended to be pushed up into from a bottom perch. If you don't then there is a good possibility that those flip-kit perches will push up into the factory perches causing them to separate from the axle tube causing all types of ugly things to happen. The factory perches were installed to just handle leafsprings and weight to sit on top of them not to be pushed up into them.
