These are most of the parts that I have ready to go onto the Dodge Ram. I'm doing a Mcgaughy's 4/6 lowering kit, Belltech rear sway bar kit, Pacesetter headers, stage 8 locking hardware for headers, Mcgaughy's airbag helper springs and Belltech street performance shocks. Also new upper control arms and lower ball joints. Sway bar bushings and new bump stops all around.

This is how the truck set with the complete Mcgaughy's 4/6 drop. As you can tell the front was going to rub. The tires are 305/35/24 all around. Wheels are 24x9.5 w/13mm offset.

To fix the front from rubbing I tried adding a cheap Advance auto coil spring spacer, but that didn't cut it. I ended up reinstalling the factory coils and basically have a 2/5 drop with the rear aired up at 30psi.

I'm still debating on trying to buy a good 1" spacer to add the 2" lowered coil springs back. I believe I can get 3" on the front without any trouble. Just debating on cutting the stock coils a little or trying the spacer. Decisions, decisions.

Also since I have the airbag helpers in the rear, I did not install the c-notch. I have over 2" of travel before it hits my new bump stops. That is with just 30psi of air. I have over 4" of clearance if I air them up more. I have yet to have it bottom out yet.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

L8r,

Kevin

The sway bar kit was very easy to install. Basically 4 bolts and mark/drill 6 holes and bolt it all up.

I forgot to mention that I also did the DIY: Tranny Line Pressure Booster. That really made a difference in the way the truck shifts. Very fast and firm. Not jerky or anything. Sometimes I couldn't even tell that it shifted except for the rpms changing.

I also installed a non-fouler on my rear o2 sensor, so hopefully my check engine light will stay off also.

Thanks HemiBabe.

Kevin

Quick question. Does your truck sit uneven? I mean lower on drivers side than pasangers. Just did a 2/4 djm drop with controls arms and flip kit. It is a 2004 quad cab. New to forum and came upon your post first. About 1/4"higher on right front and 1" on back right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine is a little but that's prob' from the gas level in the tank on the drives side and my fat ass.

Thanks everyone. I don't believe mine leans. At least it's not noticeable if it does, at least not to me.

I like the headers. The truck is actually quieter at speed now but a lot louder when I get one it. I'm still getting a check engine light for the o2 sensor even with a non fouler installed though.

Finally installed the 2" lowered springs with the 1" spacer. No rubbing now and 1" lower :). I'm finally happy with it.

Here are some pics of the process.
1st pic stock
2nd pic new wheels
3rd pic 2" spindles
4th pic 2" spindles 2" springs +1" spacer (this is the current stance)
5th pic 2" spindles 2" springs

Thanks,

Kevin
