Hey guys. Been wanting to notch my truck and drop it down a little more for a long time and finally got the chance to this past weekend.
What I already had done:
-McGaughys front spindles
-McGaughys flip kit
-Belltech Nitro drop 2s in the rear
-half coil trimmed off stock front springs
-General Grabber UHP 275/45s up front
-General Grabber UHP 295/45s in rear
What I did this past weekend:
-McGaughys bolt-in C-notch, also fully welded it in
-Reinstalled stock leaf spring shackles
-Finally welded up the spring perches from the flip kit
-Trimmed the front springs more for a total of 1 1/8th coils cut
The stance is just about where I want it. Maybe another inch or so someday. Not sure of how I will achieve it though. Ride is still the same as before, which is pretty decent, though I will pick up some Belltech Street Performance shocks for the front anyways. Would like some for the rear as well. Alignment is still pretty good though I think I will take some camber out of it soon.
I took measurements at the center of the wheel arches before and after, but I left my notes in the garage, so I will update later with that information if anyone is interested. I got about 1.5" out of it all around though.
Here's a few before pictures.
And after the work and a quick wash.
Thanks for looking,
Blaise
