Hey guys I'm in the middle of tubbing out my 06 SRT10 so I now have a complete oem srt10 rear with rotors and brakes with 4:56 gears. I was originally just going to keep brakes and rotors for my 05 Hemi daily driver but I've been thinking of just swapping rears completely. What would I lose and what would I gain? I know it's been done before but don't know much about the swap or what's involved. Would I need a new drive shaft? I do tow with my hemi, mostly just atvs.

You won't really be losing anything. Larger calipers/rotors, 4.56 gears and LSD are all positives. Only negative I can see is if you drive a lot on the highway then you might get 1-2 mpg less depending on what gears you have new. The 4.56 gears will be much better for towing.

I thought about swapping in the SRT rear end in my old 05 Hemi and you did have to have a custom drive shaft made.

Question, what rear end are you using with the tub?

It's a narrowed strange 60, it was actually on the truck "Tinygiants" but that truck got wrecked so I bought the rear, I have changed the setup a bit, moving the mounting brackets inwards and doing longer bars for the 4 link, this project is also requiring me to cut the bed, notch my frame, custom made rims (tires 20" wide), and a fuel cell

Otneil did it on his red qc hemi and also added the T56 along with it. As far as I can remember the axle was a straight swap except for the driveshaft.

He did a t56 too? Don't tell me this I have a spair t56, clutch, flywheel, and shifter bezel off a truck I parted. But then again I already converted my QC srt10 maybe I will leave the hemi auto, maybe not

Yeah he did, I'm really jealous he did too. It's easy to keep the 3rd gen's computer happy, the 4th gens no so much. I dream of a T56 in my truck...

With my srt10 when I converted to t56 I put in tune from a regular cab as they are 6 speed with t56, what tune would I put in hemi if I went t56

A tune from a Hemi 2500 with manual transmission. You would lose MDS though.
