I run that same procomp kit. My only complaint is that it increased my turning radius.

As far as the tires, you can't run 16" rims on a ram.

The calipers and rotors are too big to go any smaller. If you crank the wheel all the way either direction and feel/look at the tire that is turned in, there is very little room with stock 17's.

Will a 17" wheel be fine/work with a larger tire, more back spacing and a lift kit or should I stay with a minimum 18" wheel?

Sorry to be posting so much, but trying to get a package together by March 12.. if so I can get $500 off the install price of the lift so... yea.. trying to hurry, but still do things right.

Yes, but you have to keep in mind it isn't just a wheel size change it also is a tire size change

Current
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac LT315/70R17 - 4 X $264
Overall Diameter 34.4 Inches

XD Series Matte Black And Machined Addict - 4 X $187
17X9, 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
Backspace 4.5 in

Suggested
Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac LT295/65R18- 4 X $272
Overall Diameter 33.1 Inches (Loss of 1.3 inch increase of $32)

XD Series Matte Black And Machined Addict 4 X $220
18X9, 5 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern (Increase of $132)
Backspace 4.5 in.

Now while $164 may not seem like a "lot" of money when I am already spending 3200 before install adding on more for nothing more than a large rim and a smaller tire seems like a waste... unless I am missing something.
