For a few weeks now I have been trying to find a dam body lift for a mega cab that is for the gas truck .... nothing but CTD body lifts .
Contacted zone and PA left e-mails ....nothing
Why is it so hard to find ?

I dont want to do another suspension because I love how mine rides and performs now . Just want to add 3 more inches in a BL . but **** finding info or a kit for a gas mega is a ***** there is nothing out there .

Not too sound stupid or anything but what makes the ctd lift different from the gassers?
I always thought it was the same frame and body, just different fuel tanks and motors.

this is what PA sent me .....

Dave,

It comes down to supply and demand. Right now there is no 2007 Mega Cab 1500 kit because the customer demand hasn't been high enough justify the R&D expense. There is no technical reason for not having a kit available. Nothing on a Ram 1500 Mega Cab is much different than a 2500 series 5.7L equipped Quad Cab. Obviously there might be additional spacers and hardware necessary for the change in cab/bed configurations, but the bumper brackets, steering extension, and other brackets are the same across the two platforms. Unfortunately at this time nothing is available for your specific model year. Right now we don't even offer a regular gas engine equipped 3" block for any Ram 2500/3500 built after 2006. For the 2007 model year we offer nothing that we think would fit out of the box.

The CTD kit is significantly different than the gas motor kit. The radiator and intercooler on the diesel equipped trucks is different and require different brackets. You could make the majority of the PER60193 kit fit your 15000 Mega Cab but you'd end up with quite a few leftover diesel specific parts and you would have to fabricate some of your own. It would be a pretty difficult install unless you've got access to a small fab shop.

you can do it. buy that kit and fab up what you need- anything you would need would just be a simple bracket... like he said, the steering extension, blocks and bumper brackets will be the same... all you would have to fab up would be small brakets to mount cables and hoses... i didnt even use most of those brackets anyway.
as for the radiator, i put in an e-fan which solved the shroud problem, and i left my radiator in stock position so i didnt even use all the relocation stuff. i dont think the radiators are any different between those years anyway...
go for it buddy- you'll make it work

First I'd be concerned that the person from PA thinks you have a 15000. You have a 2500 with a gas motor.

Check this item out and you may want to email them about it. You're looking at kit # PER60193. I see on this website at the bottom of the page fits an 04-09 2500 with the hemi. Here is the part number: P6460183. Maybe something to look in to.

Send an email to Performance lifts .com, they will recommend what to do and will take the time to answer your questions! They sorted out all the queries I had from bushings to shocks to leaf springs to lift kit choices and even sent me the PDF instruction booklets for each available kit, like Trup says at the very least you'll know what kit has what for what is available for the "FRONT" or "BACK halves. Surely you shouldn't have too but 2 x Kits to make one.

Yeh, my Bad then I guess I mentions that before, so I detect some sarcasm there like they might be ****! Was just throwing out ideas for ya..Brainstormin or **** of the week>>LOL. Any how gotta say I loved that party Line
the customer demand hasn't been high enough justify the R&D expense.
Expense my ass, a Mega-Cab plus a hoist and half a days work...********. The word R&D is Big, I know I work in the defense world of that and I can telll ya reverse engineering consists of visegrips..*****..Good Luck Dave I'm sure you'll figure something out. Do you have other options like a smaller 4" Lift Kit or do you want the low cost of a BL.
(edit: OK goin suspension again /got answer / **** long day)

1500 vs 2500 on a mega...........differences are only spring rates right?

Body lift is a Performance Accessories (part# 60183) Install was fairly easy. I did it by myself in about 1-1/2 days (taking my time) I don't have tow hooks on the front of my truck so I didn't have to cut up the factory front bumper brackets, the kit was 100% bolt-on (ok 97-1/2%, I did have to weld in the crush blocks). Just take your time and follow the instructions. I just checked off each step as I did them. Oh yeah, There was one glitch. The fuel fill vent hose!!! the kit showed it as being a regular fuel hose and our trucks have that semi-rigid plastic line with the quick-disconnect fittings. I just removed the whole line and replaced it with 1/4" (I think) fuel line with hose clamps.

there ya go!
