I have a 2002 ram 1500 2wd and I've found rough country kits for cheap, and I'm only looking for about a 3 inch, but I've heard the rough country kits are bad quality, crap, etc. Has anyone had any experience with the rough country? (specifically 3 inches or so)

I'm missing 2 cylinders
I had an 07 4x4 with the RCX 4 inch kit and it rode like a tank. My friend has an 03 2wd with the 3 inch kit and his rode pretty good. I never had anything break it just rode pretty rough

Get a spindle lift kit if that works for the '02s, or crank your keys, and throw some good quality shocks on there.

Go for a maxtrac spindle lift. They make a 4.5" that will save your ride quality

Well depending on whether you want the 4.5" or the 7" and whether you want the bilstein shocks or maxtrac shocks it can range from about 900 to 1200 at most. I bought the 7" with bilsteins and I've never regretted it. I love the stance my truck has now.

My rc lift has been on for over 3 years and about 30k miles and I have no complaints. Rides good and went together smoothly. Parts were just as good as any other lift I put on a truck or jeep.

After extensive research I think I've narrowed down my selection to the 4" spindles made by CST. Does that seem like a good choice? I don't want to make a $900 mistake... However would it be smarter to go with a cast or a fabricated spindle? I don't intend on doing much off-roading but I still want to retain durability.

The CST spindles require wheels spacers if you e got the stock 17s to fit the 20s are fine

What if I got aftermarket 20s like Fuels or XD's? I heard as long as I got less than 4.5" backspacing it would fit fine. But I'm still a noob at all of these lifts so anything you can correct me on or let me know of would help.

Idk what the backspacing on those are but yes 4.5" is good just wanted to make sure you realized that the 17" won't work
