I have a 05 1500 4x4 and i'm leveling my truck this month (only needs 1 1/2") and i want to get the bilstein shocks, now i contacted bilstein and they said the HD's will work but i may need extensions, is there a model number anyone is using that do not need shock extensions?

this is the shock Heavy Duty Series Front (BE5-6928-H2)

I'm 4x2 but what I did was buy shocks for the 2500. They are the same shock as a 1500 just 2 inches longer. At least that's the way it worked for the 4x2.

Simon sorry for not seeing this sooner I can post up all the part numbers you will need to get the Bilsten shocks I have on my truck. I spent the extra 10 per shock for the brushed alum ones and you will have to get new rubber eyelets for em. I bought all of mine from Shockwarehouse.

If your doing all 4 and thats what I would suggest after seeing my stock shocks after 55k you will need part numbers and amouts to fallow:
2)F4-BE5-6248-H5.... These are Bilstein 5100 offroad racing units
2)F4-BE5-6243-H5.... These are Bilstein 5100 offroad racing units
6)98108G.... These are Bilstein bushing 3/4 urethane eyelet
6)423730.... These are Bilstein sleeve 20x14.4x42.4

These is the setup I have on my truck and the ride quality is awesome. These shocks are for a diff truck hence the need to change they eyelets and sleeves but with a shop vice and a drop of oil they switch out easy. If you havent bought the keys yet you could just jack the front of your truck up and tighten your t-bars about 5-6 cranks and get the 2inches and save the 70-100 bucks. When I did these shocks I had Skyjacker 2" keys. Any more questions just post em up.

You can do all of it in a yard with about 4 tools even if your putting on the keys, I will check on that sight but if there the same numbers or list as the cross just blue and yellow then they are prob right. The ones I got just make the bottom of the truck look cooler.
