i was thanking of this mod also as during hunting season i USE the truck . last year scraped a stump in the brush and scraped the oil pan .

I looked on fab-tech's site and they had junk . I dont think it would be hard to do , the only thing that would be a ***** is curving the plate as you would want some thick ass **** .

Your truck aint gonna see offroading lol... It would be cool to get a CNC shop to make a webslinger cut out to tack onto it.

Ever seen a sand berm? The steep ones aren't much fun when you're plowing them with the front cross member!

Last winter we were wheeling in the snow and some of the drifts would hit three feet. It would have been a lot easier with a skid plate to plow them down then packing it up into my crossmember and engine bay.

True on both of those. Everytime I go to the outter banks they dont let alot of people hit the dunes so its just mostly beach access and beach front. The last winter we had was pretty deep here also only think that got packed with snow though was my rims and man it threw the weight off by a mile.

I never had a problem with the snow until the suspension lift. There's a lot of ugly crosmember visible now and it catches snow bad.

And I won't lie, I want the skid plate for looks also.

Haha now the truth comes out, I was serious about the cnc shop cutting a emblem for it. I could see your thing about the crossmember last winter I had my torison keys on it and I could see where it drug it there.

As soon as I get my new air compressor, I'll plasma cut the shape I want. There is a do-it-yourself mechanics place near me that has a press break. I should be able to bend up the edges for strength without any issue. One project at a time though. As soon as I finish the mini console, I will get started on this.
