I love my stock 17" rims, but want to save up for a 6" lift. I like 315s on 17s, but all these lift kits say 18s or bigger. Is there any way I can keep my 17s on there? Maybe spacers or something? Is that okay for the hubs?

I think they are saying 18's simply because of the gap between the tire and body.

A 315 is plenty wide for stability (side to side) and the hubs won't get any stronger with spacers (which you shouldn't need) nor will an 18" wheel hub be any stronger than your OEM 17's unless you go with a forged wheel, which many folks don't.

I ran 35x12.50x17 on rcx 6" lift, no issues.

Stock 17s though? I was under the impression the issue came into play with ball joints moving to their new location on the lift spindles. Maybe in wrong though.
