Is there a particular reason why the spacers are 1.5" or is that just personal preference? The reason I ask is because I'm gonna do a 4" CST lift on my 07 regular cab and I wanna know if I'll need spacers after the lift is installed?

I just wanted the wheels to stick out a little more. I don't have money to buy new rims cuz I just spent it all on my 6 inch lift lol. And this is a cheaper route to achieve the stance I wanted. I don't know if you will need spacers with your lift.you are gonna have to research it I guess. I was told I don't need spacers for the 6 inch im gonna be doing so I would guess you wouldn't need them.

You don't need spacers if you have the stock 20's, or aftermarket 20's for that matter.

@Rampitt - where'd you get the spacers? Did you locktite them? I've been thinking about running some 1.25" or 1.5" spacers for a nicer stance.

I bought them off eBay. Just make sure they are hub centric. I didn't use locktite I just made sure they were tight on there I used a impact driver by Milwaukee it's on there good. It shouldn't loosen up. But if anything in a month or two I'll just give it another check just in case.

I want to run those too, do you know if they effect fuel econ, or can cause any issues?

I don't see how it would affect fuel eco. But I've noticed a decrease turn radius. As for issues all depends if you are just using it for the streets you will be fine.. Now if you plan on doing some serious mudding or off roading I would recommend not using them. Even though there are people I know that have used spacers and they do off roading and they are fine so far. I'd that's my opinon.

I have 2" Bora spacers. The manufacturer says to install his WITHOUT loctite, but after 50 miles you need to retorque them. These should be installed using a torque wrench NOT an impact. The reason is for them to have even grip, you want to get them torqued to manufacturer specifications evenly. An impact is good for removing bolts, but not ideal for installing them, unless you get the really really high end kind that has set torque settings.

I got some 2" pocket flares on Amazon. to cover my tires up, I think they were under $200 shipped.

I think i read it was 100 pounds or something like that. the impact driver i have has max 550 pounds of torque.. regardless I think i'm good. let you know if my wheels fall off anytime soon.

What grade aluminum do you want for these, 6061? I've been weary of ebay spacers but don't want to spend double the price on bora ones for the same thing. We're yours made in the US?

May I ask what size tires those are? I have an outdoosman with 20x8 stock wheels and 275's. they are tucked in a bit more than my liking. I was trying decide if I should pull off the factory flares or just add some spacers..

Signature says 35s, but that was post lift I'm assuming. They look somewhere in the stock 275/70 size range.

so you guys that run the spacers ..... you arent concerned about adding extra torque load on your wheel bearing and quicker wear and tear on the bearing by spacing your wheel out further ?? just curious.... scott

good point ...... :happy107:

Isn't that the point of hubcentric? you're placing the load on the hub snout just like an OE wheel...opposed to letting the load be carried by the wheel studs, and placing extra "perpendicular/torsional force??" on the flat face of the hub and consequently, the bearing.

at least thats how i interpret it. :p

i dont think a 2 inch hub-centric spacer is any different from going from a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of BS...to a 9 inch wheel with 2.5 BS.
