Why do some say they'll fit on a leveled 1500 with stock 17's but some say they wont? Does it just depend on the sidewall detail of the tires? My truck has approximately 3/4" between tire sidewall and spindle with 265's on there now.

i would think it would be the sidewall that really determines if it fits or not, but then again i might be talking out my a**. I guess my truck is an anomaly cause it has a leveling kit and 35s on it and doesn't rub.

Most 35x12.5's will not fit on stock rims without spacers. They will rub the upper A-arm. Only the very small 35x12.5's that actually measure closer to 34x12 will clear without spacers.

So 34s (295s) will fit ish? That makes sense. Now I'm on the hunt for a nice set of 295/70's!
