4th gen bumper on 3rd gen?

I just bought a 4th gen bumper and was wondering if there is anything I need besides brackets to install on my 3rd genImageUploadedByTapatalk1419824462.860697.jpg

Nope, pretty much just the ability to custom fabricate everything, because without it that bumper can not fit onto a 3rd gen. I've seen a 4th gen grafted onto a 3rd gen twice now, one took time, the other took money but it can be done nicely with either or both.

Do I use the grill from a older say a 2005 because it's flat all the way on the bottom?

That is what Charonblk meant... It won't fit without fabricating brackets, and everything else to fit the lower contour of the front of the truck...

Also, the front of a 4th gen cannot be easily fitted onto a 3rd gen body without again a LOT of fab work to get everything to fit.

Better find a 3rd gen bumper that fits your truck year...

I just found some people who pre fab brackets to do this work and I asked them what I have to do and they said just brackets from them $160

I found some overkill brand conversion mounts did u have any mounts at all or just the normal 3rd gen mounts?

Could you possibly send that link? It bolted right up to factory holes, minus the upper inner lag bolts had to be knocked out. But I haven't seen the brackets, maybe they raise the bumper a bit or help with gap

You may have to get a new grill or trim a bit but it brings the bumper almost flush there's a YouTube video on the Web site.
