I have a 2008 qcsb 1500. I recently got new tires, Cooper stt pro 295/65 20. I put then on the stock 20's with 1.25" wheel spacers, effectively making the wheels equal to -12 offset. There was some trimming, but they fit fine now.

I'm now looking for new wheels, but it seems like most of the wheels I like don't come in 20x9 -12. The closest most of them get is 0 offset or even +1. My question is, would the 1/2 inch difference in offset make any difference in the fit? I'd rather not have to trim more than I have, and I still want them to stick out.

I wouldn't think so. With stock 20s, I thought you could fit 35/12.50s with a level. I would imagine the .5" would be fine.

With the 0 or +1 offset they'll stick out a 1/2" less than your current setup and there will be more clearance as the stance isn't as wide.

I'll have to measure it tomorrow. I'm not sure I want to sacrifice the 1/2 ". But I'm guessing it won't be enough to notice.

What all did you have to trim to get them to fit?

Just plastic liner. I did tap the lip of metal inside the wheel well inward (where the plastic liner was connected). But only the very bottom corner. That was more of a just in case thing.

Gotcha. I'm trying to squeeze on some 31570r17 on my truck (similar in size to the 295 you put on).
