Posted a question a while back, need new tires soon and im stuck between a 33 inch tire vs. a 35 inch. 08 Ram quad cab,5.7L, going to use stock wheel, I am thinking cooper zeon, a level kit, I do allot of highway driving. Any idea on how much gas mileage will be affected.

The bigger you go on tire size the less mpg's you are getting. If you are worried about keeping good mpg I'd for sure stay away from the 35's.
Do they offer the Zeon in a 35? didn't think they did.

I kept my 35's for about 2 weeks but mostly got rid of them cause they affected my Towing capability mostly and MPG take a hit too, however the cool factor was there!

It really seems once you breach the 33" tire, your MPGs suffer pretty significantly.
I think the extra rotational inertia really kicks your ass (exponentially).

How much bigger is the 33 inch tire vs. the stock tire on the 20" rim?? Maybe I will just get a stock size tire with a more aggressive tire pattern.

actually not much, they ARE 33's......going with an aggressive pattern helps the mud an snow, and looks good if you stay off the pavement. thats what I do with my 35's

The stock Gen IV tire is a 275/60R20 which is **** on a 33" tire.
A more aggressive AT or even MT will give you a lot of the 'look' without hurting the wallet as much.:High 5:

Idk almost all my trucks I've ever owned have had 35s lol but my dodge averages 15-18 mpgs but its not constantly floored cause my exhaust is way to loud and annoying when its floored

In a 33 you can get either a 33 12.5 or a 33 14.5 but 14.5 is to wide w/o a lift
I'm not sure on stock cause I've never had stock tires

Found 305 55 20 from Treaddepot for around $800 for the Cooper LTZ, going to get a level kit. Just had back surgery, going to need to wait 6-8 weeks. Think they will kill my mpg bad?

I stuffed 35's (with a level) on my oem's....course my oem's are rare to begin with.
