Hello everyone, this is my second post on this sight. The first went
UN answered. Is there anyone here anymore? Or is this a old web site that was forgotten.... Anyway, I have a 2008 RAM 1500 4wheel drive with 20" stock rims. The front has a 2" spacer to level the height of the truck. Can anyone tell me what is the biggest tire I can put on without rubbing? Thanks in advance if there's anyone here...lol

with stock rims you will be fine with 305 if you put any kind of offset you will rub.

I wouldn't mind wider and taller. I wouldn't want to go any shorter but some with would be nice..

I ran a 325/60/20 with 2.1 bilstiens and a 0 offset with only minor rub backing out of my driveway apron at full lock. Very minor
However, that is on 2013

I'd suggest this size as the biggest to be safe if you're planning on keeping the factory wheels.. Even a 275/65/20 would be a good size also.

this size above is what I was going to go with on my 2" level until I decided to lift it.

Very cool. What's your opinion on switching to a 17" rim and putting a similar size on? Like a 35 by 10.50?

That's up to you. 17" rim is a odd size for finding the odd tire sizes like that. Def more options with a 20" rim so I'd do some tire searching first to see if you can find any you like in a size like that for 17" rims.

There are no 35/10.50's unfortunately. Closest you can get is 34/10.50s, made by Interco, but they're super expensive. Can't go less than 17" rims due to our large calipers and rotors. Can't go too much over 285/70R17s without running the risk of rubbing on the spindle or upper control arm. You can go up to 35/12.50R17s if you run 1.25" spacers, or appropriately backspaced rims.
