Before it's too hard use a cheese grater on the bondo then after it's hard use an airfile. I use about 60 grit first and work my way down to 120 grit then high build primer. Make sure you have a long sanding block to remove the ripples. cheap spray paint dusted on the repair area will help show high/low spots in the bondo. Take your time, bondo ain't hard to work.

One thing I can say for anyone using bondo, DO NOT use the UV dry/set stuff, that crap blows.
