Hey guys new to the forum and new owner of a 2007 ram 1500 hemi I just thought I would get some opions on a new grill and bull bar I just bought. Well I'm a little bummed the brackets on the bull bar are very visible I called the manufacturer and they said that that's how they are no matter what brand you get. Next I'm not to happy with the look of this grill and was thinking of just buying a new stock one, they old one was peeling pretty bad. What do you think thanks in advance.

Here is a pick of the truck when I got it fe4a06a292317d3dcefeae760a1ef0cf.jpgd2d7974868d341d17d816ef95da91e7f.jpg

This is after I ditched the cap for a tonue cover got some bilstein levling shocks put new steps on changed out the tail lights and 3rd brake light new grill headlights and bull bar ab62fe96fc3f36f2488ea78411d6c2fa.jpgfec0839d5764afcdd6ff382f192a9f66.jpg1843c2ee901c4f4428afd2cb2a704525.jpg

The bracket thing I can understand if you are set on a bull bar. They have to clear the lower portion of the front bumper and extend out so the front bar clears the front of the bumper.

That grill would probably look better body colored vs. black, IMHO.

I replaced my stock chrome/black 3rd gen MegaCab grill using a body colored grill with brushed aluminum inserts from the Sport model. I like how it turned out.

I thought about a bull bar but all I really wanted was somewhere to mount some lights so I got an NFab light bar. It mounts to the stock tow hook locations. It turned out to be a pretty clean install.

I liked the NFab bar so well I ended up swapping it, and the PIAA LEDs, over to the 2014:

Good looking truck man. I'll have to dig up an old photo of my truck when I had my bull bar on it. As for currently, I like lightbars. Lol

You can scuff up that chrome on the bull bar and paint it or powdercoat it if you wanted to.

The paint matched stock grills do look good but I think if that grill you have gets painted body color it would look a lot better.

Good luck and thanks for the compliments!

I agree with maddog. I used to like the chrome look that's why it went okay with a chrome bull bar and chrome grille. I'm about to color match my grille shell and I think it will make it pop a lot better. I think a color matched grille and the bull bar colored black would look badass on your truck.

Well it took me a while to get my truck just the way I wanted it but I made some drastic changes from what I had before I ended up ditching the bull bar and grill and buying a new oem grill and painted the inserts black. 6bdd5c7c33a3b2756e60da0ab13d14aa.jpg

I also got some spyder projector headlights with the hid kit pre installed. Overall they look awsome but the light out put is horrible even after aimed properly. Not sure if it's because there smoked or just crappy hids 6ff1b79302a300d38f917ec7be794e19.jpgecca0b190011da0c84fa64851e1212b0.jpg

More upgrades
New dx4 7s black rims
285 65 r20 bfg all terrain ko2s
1.5 body lift a5896e0ce2e36b17395031131133bf2d.jpgbfb6ef5291be8c7b538344ec4a524b4b.jpg

I'm happy with the way it turned out but I'd like to add 1.5 spacers and Mabey some paint match bushwakers and when I get the flares painted I will have them shoot the grill also, and As soon as I can afford it iron cross front and rear bumpers. Thanks for reading!

Looks awesome! If you can weld, check out Move "weld it yourself" bumpers. Little cheaper.

I have spyder projectors on my 03 and the light output is terrible. Now I'm trying to retro fit hid projectors for my old stock lights

Yea I should have done some research before I bought them I figured for $300.00 they would be solid oh well live and learn I guess. My old lights are sold already so I can't retro them but I wonder if the spyders could be upgraded.

Just got my supreme suspension 2 inch spacers in and installed fd856a38d89c0c59412cb894c26fec9e.jpg

OK so I learned a valuable lesson on cheaping out and buying fake ebay bushwakers first off the gasket was junk and didn't stick then when I went to do the install NONE of them fight right I went through the instructions and they said flares might need slight trimming and modification to fit really what a joke. I tried trimming and screwed one up long story short I spent the $460.00 and got the bushwackers I love them! Fit perfectly and the rubber gasket went on like it should

My only question is what's next lol
Bigger tires, 4 or 6 inch lift
Iron cross bumpers
