What's going on guys!?! New to the site and am a proud owner of a 07 ram 1500 quad cab with the 5.7 hemi. I just finished up putting on my HBS 2.5 inch leveling kit and it looks great , but now I want a beefier tire. After searching the forum for what tires fit, what tires don't fit, what tires need spacers, It's hard to tell what tire will fit after hearing both that one size fits, and others complaining about rubbing. I was looking at 285/65r20, but I can't find the tires ANYWHERE!! So I guess I'm here to hear everyone's opinions on what tire they are running, and how well it does. I don't want something really stuffed and being really stuffed so when I do hit bumps it has the potential opportunity to hit suspension or inner fenders. Can anyone else recommend a better tire size than the 285/65r20 also? I'm open too all opinions. Also, I would also like to hear a confirmed fitment. Not just say yea I heard it would fit from another member. Thanks guys and have a good day!

for your truck....The safe bet for no rubbing is no wider than 285. 305's you will need 1/4" spacers. 295's could go either way

Hey guys, thanks alot for the feedback and comments, the HBS 2.5 leveling kit is in! And I actually might be looking at buying these wheels
http://summitracing.com/parts/mtt-90000000624

I have picked a 17 because I am a technician at firestone and can get our firestone M/T's for 35 percent off and install for free myself. Was thinking about running some 285/75r17s which come out to be 33.8x11.2x17.... Don't really wanna worry about rubbing on bumps and whatnot. Please let me know if you think this is a good set up. And I will post a pic of how she sits in a few! Thanks alot!

with those wheels you could definitely run some wider tires. i think 295/70/17 will go well with a level.

I think that would look awesome too. You think getting a 5thh tire and rim is worth it due to limited slip rear?

Its not Necessary but would save the hassle of swapping out two wheels on the side of the road if you got a flat in the rear

Might just save the cash on the 5th wheel for some other things I want. Thanks a lot quietpeen you've helped me out alot! Ordering the rims now. I'll be sure to put a picture of how it looks after install. One last question, I'm guessing I'll need smaller lugs, what kind of outs is everyone running on aftermarket wheels?

Trucks look great guys! Just wondering with that 0 offset an 5 inch backspacing if there will be poking past the fender? What do you guys think? Am currently thinking about 17x9 mickey Thomson sidebiters wrapped with 285/70/17 firestone M/T's. which is like 32.7x11.2 but I am worried they will look to small. I also wouldn't mind a slight little poke past fenders, but nothing too many. More pictures of leveled rams would be awesome guys. Please state your specs also .

Not a 20's Man but Johnny's Truck, well it does look Cool and a few others.
I've run 4 different sized tires and in the end went back to the 285/70/17 and have ION 17x9's that stick out just a Tad but with the Powerwagon Flares are Ok. I can Tow, Have smooth no noisey ride, Can lay Rubber if I want and hard launch on Ice in the Winter. Good Choice!

Crap photo(s) but you get the idea.

Danny, I do like the look of the 17's and I still have my stockers so down the road if I have some extra funds I might pick up some 34 or 35's. I'm glad I kept them.

Your truck looks awesome man, I especially like the grill.
