I got a set of wheel to wheel steps for free, and figured I could make them work. My only question is before I drill away at the frame, is there anything within the frame rails that should stop me from drilling? (Gas line, brake lines, wiring, etc)

Nothing in middle but check on back side were you are drilling to make sure you don't hit a brake/fuel line/wires, etc.

Imho, I would weld them so not to make a weak point in frame from drilling. They are weak as it is already.
