Front End Conversion

Hey everyone,

I am looking to overhaul the front end of my 02 SLT. I found this kit at 3rd strike

What do you all think? It's a lot of $$$, but will totally change the look of my truck. Are there any other similar kits you have seen?

That would look sick, how much extra is the hood to add to that price? I would hit Duane up for detailb but that seems like a pretty good price already.

The srt hood is $650, night runner headlights extra $100. Around $3400 altogether.

that looks like an awesome kit. I think the 06-08 srt front end looks better than the 02-05. Being that is a lot of money.....are those oem pieces?

don't forget shipping.........quoted for about $500.

Lots of goodies in that kit man. I have seen a lot of guys do a swap of just the fenders, grill and lights - which (obviously) would be a lot less. The big $$ items, that bumper, the support for it and shippin'.

I'm not sure if thats oem prices...guess I should check my dealer. My paint & body guy can get parts, too. I'll see what he can put together & how it compares price wise. I definitely want to convert to srt, though.

The shipping is the only unsure part of the price. I'm only 2 hours from his store, so it depends on if I can just pick the kit up without paying freight, it may be a go. I have contacted him, we'll see.

Is it just me or are the gaps at the hood and doors all off?

Ya, it makes a huge difference on his, which was already the sport version. Taking mine from the "old man" version to SRT would be huge. I'm excited. I'm definitely converting it. Just not sure which kit to buy.

Guess I'll shoot him a pm and see where he got his and what the cost was. Paint won't be too bad for me. My buddy has a shop and he does good work, cheap. Just gotta get the hardware.

Well, I bit the bullet. The kit is ordered and my bank account is a lot emptier now!

Can't wait for it to arrive so I can drop my SLT off at the bodyshop for a face-lift!
