I know, this topic has been talked about before, just trying to update and see if there is any additional info. Sorry guys I am new to this forum, however I have been doing some research on front end conversions for my 2005 ram. I really like the 09+, as far as parts I can get them pretty cheap, not worried about that, however its the conversion itself, here is a pic to better explain what I am talking about. Does anyone have any info on this build? If so, please let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I plan on changing my front clip to the 4th gen. I have a 1 ton and love the new beefyfront end of the 4th gen. Im gonna start out measuring a 4th gen fender and comparing it to the 3rd. And seeing how much fab work it is before i drive completely into it and waste money on it

I know the whole front end was purchased, however, take a look at where the fender and door lineup, over by the pilar. I know the bumper, hood, grille and headlights are from the 4th gen, but I can't get my head around the fenders.

I use to work in a body shop. To me it looks like they cut the fender to fit to pillar

My opinion probably wont be popular. I never liked hearing this from guys when I was younger but buy a 4th gen if you like the front end.

While in some cases I would agree with you, for the guys that have their trucks payed off, there is a pretty big difference between maybe a couple thousand for a 4th gen front end, and going 25-40k back in debt for a 4th gen truck just to have the front end. Plus some people like tinkering with their stuff and doing things that are uncommon.

That fender looks like it's been cut and spliced together to me.

Very good point, on both your opinions. Yes, my truck is paid off and wouldnt really like to start another $40k debt. I just feel like my truck could use a facelift and fresh paint. Just to bring back that spark in her eye.

It would surely be one of a kind. I would talk to some really good body shops. And see how comfortable they feel with doing that kind of work to the fenders.

I got in contact with the original owner of an orange gold ram with the same front end conversion we are talking about. He sent me a pic of how they did it. The lower pic shows, how the fenders were done. This is an 08 charger during process for its 2013 front end conversion, same concept.

Now remember, we are trying to focus on the front end conversion (minus the bodykit lip), not the whole truck itself. So please lets refrain from posting negative opinions/comments on other peoples taste for fixing up their rides, as they are using their own vehicles and $$$ to do so. Just saying this in general, everyone that has posted on here has been giving great feedback.
