Well...... I removed mine before the lifts were put in it and my mpg dropped 2-3 points, I then put it back on. But now with my lift I doubt it would make much of a difference one way or the other. Just me but I would find one and install it.

I never had an MPG drop with mine. Took it off to keep from scraping on stuff.

A lot of it depends on driving conditions and style.

OP has a 3rd gen....so it will make more of a difference for him than it does us

They are the ugliest things on the planet so I would gladly accept the loss in MPG to make the truck look 10x better.
