i've had these for awile and have been holding off on putting them on because they arent my favorite look... i took the stock flaps off when i put the tires/wheels on because they were rubbing. i had to fix the big ass grooves the stock flaps wore in the paint, and then i threw the ******* away. i bought these and just couldnt bring myself to put them on- i really like the "no flap" look- i like seeing the tires stick out... BUT i am starting to get rock chips on my rockers and on my boat! so i mounted these things up today. they look better than i thought they would but not as good as it did without them.
so what do you guys think? do they look OK? am i going to be denied any future TOTM nominations because of these things? :leghump: obviously i think the benefits outweigh the bad... but... idk...

They don't look that bad. I agree, I do like the no mud flap look better, but mud flaps save your paint and stuff in the long run.

I like them. I agree the trucks look cleaner or more sleek without them but that being said I have the molded dodge ones on my truck. They come in real handy when dirt racing and hunting season.

Maybe it needs a nice chrome mudflap girl silhouette or Yosemite Sam pointing guns and saying "Back Off!" :) Sorry...I just don't like the look. But if it saves you work and money in the long run by protecting your paint and boat, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Sorry cheap, but I think the best thing you did was taking the flaps off. dont do this man! and they have to be straight if they stay!

But it is your truck man, and I respect that, but you asked for opinions!

edit: flares would look better

Every truck I will own has to have flaps. Flare help a bit but not a whole bunch. The clean look gets negated fast when you see road rash up the rockers and quarters. IMO keep them your paint will thank you and on a side note don't wasted your money on 3M on the rockers. I had it done with the thickest product on my Jeep and it did jack ****.

The problem with molded ones is that they always **** the paint. Every vehicle I have pulled the plastic flaps off of had big scuffing or paint damage. Some even to bare metal.
