Has anyone put a winch behind there bumper like the Power Wagons have? If so how and pics

I won't say that it can't be done because anything can be done. However, the power wagons are on a 2500 frame which has different supports than the 1500s. I looked into it because I really want a winch on mine, but it just isn't feasible from the research I've done. Strength and durability would be my main concern.

As in strength and durability of the already fragile front end you have because of your monstrous tires and lift? Lol

There's a 4th gen 2500 with a hidden winch behind a bumper identical to mine. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. But not sure if it can be done on a 1500

Now that is awesome! I may have to build my own now...Maybe even make a business out of making them for trucks like ours

its deff my next step on my 4th gen sport just so I can be ther first gonna take a lot more fab because I have plastic bumper but im shure it can be done

I just completed my hidden winch on my 2011 1500 Big Horn. I found the secret is a feet forward design. The winch is a Warn M8000, mounted feet forward and upside down on a custom built winch tray bolted to the end of my frame rails. The upside down mounting allows the winch line to come through higher on the bumper, where the license plate is normally located. Due to the upside down mounting, I needed to seal the two vent holes on the winch's motor drum support. (thats information I got from a friend of mine that is a technician at Warn).
