Hey all,

I haven't been fully active on this forum lately, but two weekends ago I installed Spyder Halo LED headlights on my 2005 Ram 1500 SLT.

Spyder part number for these headlights is: PRO-YD-DR02-HL-BK

The outcome was very nice, and the wiring was pretty simple.

There were two large black wires, which needed to be spliced into two more smaller black wires. Once this was completed you then took a separate piece of wire and connected one end of that wire (I soldered) to the 4 black wires. The opposite side of the wire is connected to your parking light ground wire using a quick splice.

There are two large white wires on each side which need to be spliced into two small red wires. The same procedure is needed with a separate single wire, and once that has been completed you quick splice the other end of the single wire into the parking light wire, not the turn signal wire. I used a multi meter to determine which wire was for the parking light, and which was for the turn signal.

Hey m4mckeen,

That looks really good. I like the present look, but once I get the truck to the next step it may be an option.

The only thing I dislike about the Spyder headlights are the adjusting screws having to be accessed by removing the headlight completely. Makes the adjustments more timely.

I have those on my '04 Ram 1500. I love the looks, but as you said it is a pain to adjust the headlight direction. I've had mine for about 2 or 3 years and the passenger side 6 led's just went out. I checked all the wires and they are intact. Any ideas?

427invader, do you have any other symptoms such as your turn signals not working properly, or parking lights/ running lights not working?

Did all of the leds go out all at once, or did one go, and the rest went out?

when i took mine a part i think then ran in series one of the bulbs might be out so they all go out, check to see if there is power at each wire of the leds

The 6 led's under the halos all went out at once. There were no other lights affected. All the wires seemed to be snug and no wear on the coating. Then yesterday I noticed they are all back on and have been since.
