I have a 2006 2wd Megacab, going to put new shocks on, think about the KYB Gas Adjust. But I notice they dont have dust covers for the pistons. Anyone have thoughts and recommendations.?

The dust covers are for looks really. The seal is tight enough that it will prevent anything from getting inside the shock, and with dust cover they tend to fill up with mud and **** rusting out the pistons

I put a set on a Z28 I had a million years ago.
They were all the rage and hyped up, and I finally scrounged up the money to buy them, and spent a Saturday night installing them, I was soooooo disappointed on the maiden voyage. I thought the Z28 was going to handle like a Vette and it didn't.
In fact, it drove and handled EXACTLY the same as the original stockers I removed them for.

I've never really heard anything good about them. Go with Monroe at a minimum, or bilstiens.

I put Monroe on my truck and am happy with them.

i had them on my last truck.swapped out some ranchos for kyb,and they were way better than the rancho's.really good shocks for a half ton.bear in mind i actually used my truck like a truck, but if you use yours like a car, monroes will do ya,but they're not even in the same league.if not,pro comp's are not bad either for the price, but i only had them on for about 15 thousand kilometers,so i'm not sure how they compared.
