Is the black plastic in the front bumper strong enough to hold a 20 inch light bar?

I was curious about this too, if it's not possible to mount it there I'm going to try to make some brackets for them, I'll let you know if I come up with anything

I have have to trim the center out for it to fit right, but it feels like it's pretty tight

Is yours straight or curved? I feel like a curved one would clear the center just fine

Are you talking about the plastic on the top section of the front bumper?

This is where we mounted one on my friends truck. I'd do it on mine if I didn't mind drilling into the bumper

I thought that was removable and hollow since that's where the OEM tow hooks come through. I wouldn't chance it. If you're in there, might as well make some small brackets and hook to something for some strength.

Didn't know there were filler pieces that went in there. I've always seen them open whether it's got hooks or not.

Mines filled in, only thing I can think of doing is putting a straight brace behind it so it don't fall off, there's just no place to put it otherwise

Man, just take out the black filler piece so you can see what you're working with. You don't want to bolt a light bar to it, I guarantee you.

I took out the filler piece so I wouldn't ruin it and bought some brackets off eBay.
The holes didn't line up right so drilled a couple so I could get it mounted up.
