Looking to replace my hood

Like the title says I am looking at several hoods for my truck. I am specifically loking at some Ram Air style ones but want something different from the normal. Anyone got any suggestions???

well since you have a 3rd gen. Id get the SRT hood. I love that style. Its like the one i have on my 4th gen in my sig.

you could get the venom hood. it's carbon fiber, and just as much as just the hood, no scoop insert

I also have a question about hoods. Could you put a 2003 SRT hood on a 2002 SLT?

Cant beat an OEM hood, and if there is an issue with it you can easly get it fixed. Both my 04 and the wifes 05 are running the SRT hoods. There is a aftermarket filter setup to go into the insert but you would still be better suited with a traditional style CAI. The opening in the hood is actually there to reduce under hood temps and run air over the motor.

Cool looks like the majority ahs spoken. I will be ordering the new hood soon as I can get to the dealership. Just wonder if they can get it color matched to my truck.

When you go to order here is the Dodge Kit # 82208702. One of the few parts Dodge does without a few letters

Here is how it will come

Open it at the dealership and check for damage. The freight guys tend to drop a knee into the box's and check the insert to make sure none of the mounting tabs are broken.

Thanks I will be sure to check it before I leave the dealership. Do not want my new hood to be damaged before it goes on my truck. :Grenade:

Wife gave me the ok to get a new hood so gonna be getting it when I get off work this Thursday (maybe earlier if I can get to the dock where my truck is parked).

Went to Keystone's local wharehouse today. They had a very nice functional ram air hood for $533. Well I broke down and had them order it for me picking it up Friday. Now to find someone tat can paint it to match my truck. I was at first interested in the SRT 10 hood, but I see so many of them around where I live I wanted something a bit different. As soon as I get it installed and my truck detailed I will post a picture, some idiot rubbed a cart down the side of my truck in Wal-Marts parking lot leaving an ugly scratch that I cannot remove myself. The same shop that is painting my new hood is gonna fix the idiots screwup.
