Hello all,

I had a thread a while back about if anyone made a mopar badge that could replace the ram badge on a 3rd gen, and specifically my 07. The challenger mopar badge was too small, as well as others i found...until this little gem..

New Black Mopar Auto Emblem Trunk Fender Badge For Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram | eBay

it's within probably 3/16 of the original size.

Its cheap, and takes 2 weeks to get here from china, and they are probably a non-copyright knockoff...sorry Chrysler....If my truck didn't need bedsides i'd feel a little worst about it. ;)

Here is the stock badge (which is a 2 piece by the way) next to the new one.
hindsight, when you lightly pry this off with a flat edge, i'd probably try to just remove the chrome ram, and leave the backing plate in tact. you'll see later i had to re-silicon mine back on.

then take a razor knife and cut the tabs off the backing plate, so the new emblem will sit flat

this one image shows the slight difference, and the other shows that i removed the 3m type foam sticker. the backing plate is not perfectly flat...so silicon is a better adhesive. removing the foam also reveals the concave surface on the rear. this is perfect because it kind of "cups/encases" the backing plate, and the RTV fills the voids.

Here is my backing plate RTV'd back on. I used clear in case it oozed a bit.

the white spots in the middle are where it came through the holes. I then applied a generous amount to the crevices, and the ribs of the back of the emblem

And Done :)!!!! just RTV'd it back on, held it in place a few mins, and used some packing tape to just hold it on overnight. I may go back and fill the gap a tad once it cures a few days. it's a pretty close fit. I ordered 2 of these, as i plan on stripping the grilles fake chrome, and painting it body color when it gets painted. So I will more than likely have to redo this. but nothing big...just a little RTV and we're back in business!

Looks awesome. I was trying to find a new badge for mine until I decided to just get a whole new grille. Then I had no badge lol so I had to custom order one. I love how my front end looks now!

Thanks! I wanted to be a little different with the stock grille in tact. Most ditch it early on, but the crosshairs dont bother me. I would probably buy a sterling bullet grille if they weren't defunct.

Lol I think LMC Truck still offers Sterling grills. I thought about getting one, but they were like $300 lol

Oh you can still find them fairly easy. Its the fact that diamler discontinued the brand entierly. Itd be like putting and amc badge on something lol

Did you mean my grill? If so it says Dodge//

If you look real hard, there is a 6" powder coated black X-Metal "Grenade" in the top left corner of my grille.

Thanks... it took awhile but I finally got it where I am happy with the front end. I just got my front lip/lower air Dam on yesterday and other than an SRT or MPR hood, I'm pretty much done with the front end. Oh, I'm waiting for a set of ebay fiberglass eyelids for the headlights aswell.
