More bed lights

I ordered a whole bunch of led strips off of eBay over a year and a half ago
I put some in the bed of my dads 4th gen (seen here: http://www.ramforum.com/f51/custom_bed_lights-15312/)
I finally got around to putting them into my girlfriends truck
I put a 4ft strip on the lid of the tool box

I only got 1 2ft strip into the bed right now, planning on three more

Running the power and ground took a lot longer then it should have
Lighted weatherproof LED switch just inside the tailgate

I can never find a flashlight with batteries haha
I usually load our dirtbikes the night before we race and am always struggling and digging through the toolbox for straps in the dark
Well worth the $20 or $25

Looks great, and I completely agree about it being worth the $.
I hate farking with things in the dark.

Is that a hot glue gun??

Lol yeah, I tried to hot glue some of the wires out of the way on the lid of the toolbox and under the rails, seems to be holding right now but we'll see how long it lasts (I think I did on my dads too lol)
Plus one of the strips had a small crack in it so I was using it to "waterproof" it again since I couldn't find my liquid electrical tape. Only half the strip worked anyway

what kind of strips and was it tricky to wire?

This is the 2ft one I'm using in the bed

The hardest part was figuring out which one the 12v wire was in dodges trailer wiring harness (red wire)
The lights are just wired in parallel, ill draw a wiring schematic later if it'll help you

I also order a 12v cigarette light plug for a motorcycle to mout on the bed so there'll be accessory power back there

Here's my very professional wiring diagram

1. For a power source I spliced into the trailer wiring harness behind the bumper plug, the red wire in the harness is constant +12v

2. I have a 3 amp mini blade fuse there now, Ill be uping it to 15a when I add in a 12v accesory plug- Waterproof Mini Automotive Fuse Holder | Installation Supplies | Installation/Power Supplies/Misc | Super Bright LEDs

3. I used a weatherproof SPST switch here, its lighted so it actually has a ground pin too- LED Indicator SPST Weatherproof Round Rocker Switch | Installation Supplies | Installation/Power Supplies/Misc | Super Bright LEDs

4. I'm an engineer, counting isnt my best subject

5. I used 4 2ft waterproof LED strips and 1 4ft waterproof LED strip on this truck- 60cm 30 LED SMD CAR VAN White Flexible Neon Light Strip Bulb 12V Waterproof NEW | eBay
