Yea, much like my 06 was. Wanna sell your K&N? Flares I got were from Ebay as well, a set someone else on here had told me about awhile back...ill see if I can find them on ebay again...here's a photo of how I had my stripes before...and of the truck after that accident...

Second photo is the guy that turned in front of me...

Is the bed rusting over the wheel well? Only reason I don't trust flares is I heard that can happen if water gets in and cannot get back out. Otherwise I would probably have a pair on my truck by now.

Possibly would be willing to sell off my K&N CAI.

Strips look good on these trucks but I hope you got those tires back, they look pretty beefy as opposed to the crap tires that come stock.

How bad was the impact for you because that other vehicle looks destroyed.

Probably about 40mph corner to corner. It was rusting...Got the flares to hide the rust actually...Just never got to put them on. Tires were the terra grapplers...had them for 2 years and the insurance co gave me money for the whole set because they looked "new" to them lol. Best tires I ever had. When I level this one, get spacers for the stock wheels, and get 35's on it, the flares and the stripes will look badass

Yeah 35s on these trucks look great, even just leveling the truck looked amazing when I did it on mine.
That's awesome about the tires and seems terra grapplers or the dura trac tires are the favorites for people on this board.

Which side of PA are you on?

Your K&N...Chrome or Plastic version? I had the plastic on my 06...Did just fine...was considering the chrome one, but either way, I'm in for one...Gimme a price of you want to get rid of it...Could meet you depending where your at in Jersey.

Yeah, that's why I asked where at in PA. You're 2 hours from me actually as I am next to NYC.

It is the plastic one, K&N 57 series, even has a waterproof cover over the airfilter.

Ahh, thanks for the info, 07 is my first ever Ram though I have always been in the Chrysler family. Didn't realize that amber bar was actually the turning light for the truck, seemed more like a reflector.

Thanks!

DeputyDip corrected me on the amber bar. It is only a second marker light. The wiring that goes too it is rather easy to just tape off or use some heat shrink tubing to cover the connector. Apparently the 06 uses the same 3157 bulb so even that will not have to be changed at all. It should be just remove the old light, waterproof the marker connector, plug in the headlight bulb, and the connector for the turn/parking light. Mine did not come with bulbs or the turn signal socket but the ones from your current truck should just fit right in. You should have no problems installing the new lights. Just be sure to put that little nut back on that holds the outside in.

I actually just bought blacked out headlights like that from eBay. Cannot complain about them at all. Seem a little brighter too but look amazing on my blue truck.

They have the clear reflector on them as well, I am also going to switch the amber lights to switch backs so that everything is white up front.

This is the link to the ones I got. Not sure exactly WHY they are now $829! I got them for $129 with free shipping.
Weird, the last two people that bought them paid $324 for them. :wtf2:
That silver truck is my old one that I totalled 2 months ago when someone turned in front of me...this is my new 08 that I rear ended someone with yesterday :-( I have no luck lately...

Clearly you like other gens, when are you getting a 3rd and 4th gen Ram?

I like helping people and seeing what the other guys are up to.
They invade my turf all the time so I return the favor. :p

And I had myself cracking up at the Snorlax picture. :roflbow:
