I have a 2005 4x4 quad cab 5.7 liter Ram that needs tires. I may as well purchase the rims I want while I am at it! Any chance someone could point me in the right direction on deciding what rims and tires to buy as far as size. Should I just take it somewhere and have it done or would I benefit from buying from a place online? Any help would be appreciated!!

those wheels are Fuel Hostage. Are you going to lift the truck? level, keep stock height? Thinking to stick with 20's or go smaller?

Haha without a doubt.
Well in that pic, Kevin had a 6" suspension lift with 35's. If you want more capability over looks with your truck, go that route. If budget is more your thing, go with a leveling kit and a 3" body lift for 35's. We need to know alot more about what you want! Lol

Budget is an issue.. My bro in law has a leveling kit he is selling me cheap. I am assuming it is only for the front? To level the truck. So whatever size wheel and tire I can get away with? I am looking to spend no more than 2k.. Am I crazy for thinking I can acheive this with that amount of money? I have never purchased new wheels , so this is all new to me.. Thanks again for the input!!

since your truck is a 4x4 you don't need a level kit. Your bro in law loses the sale, but you save the money. all you have to do is crank your torsion bars. then if you want you can fit 35" tires. If you drop down to 17" wheels you might be able to find tire and wheel packages for under 2000.

2 k is going to be tight.

for my 35's and rims it was 2300.

I recommend good year duratracs as they are aggressive and still good on the highway, and also pretty cheap in comparison.

These are what I am kinda looking at. A little more chrome than kevins' which is fine, because my truck has more chrome.. 20" is as big as they make them.. Can I put 35's on these? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1350929264.295533.jpg

There are some decent deals on Ebay. Many sell wheel and tire combos, you just have to know what you want. You're looking at a little more than 2k, depending what size wheel and tire you want. Not sure if Dave at DB truck shop sells wheels and tires, but if he does he'll help you out.

So after talking to a few people, 35's are not going to fit on my stock truck? Anyone know what the biggest tire I can use?

that is correct that they won't fit on a stock truck, but with it leveled 35's will fit. If you are worried you can run 33's (which is the stock height for the rams with 20" wheels) or go to a 34" tire 275/65/20

Located in the St. Louis MO area!! Thank you all again for the info!! So basically, if I crank my torsion bars to level, I can run 35's? Is there a tutorial on here on how to do this?

I would love to see someone with the same wheels as mine with some 33's or 35's.. It may make me change my mind on buying new wheels and instead get the fender flares I want!! Decisions decisions!! Anyone see pics of these wheels dipped??
