I am not the original owner. The new bumper and grille was put on after a guy hit me head on. The problem with adjusting it is, I will have to pull it off and open up some of the holes to allow it to adjust. And I don't like the way he did the inner fenders and also there are several places on the bumper that he didn't take care to try and smooth out. Prior to the wreck it was all still original and had not been messed with.

how bad was the wreck? i ask because i can see the gaps on the hood and drivers side fender dont seem to line up and the passenger side fender seems to be a different shade of red, i notice these things because i partner with a body shop lol, but ill say this, if you have to open up holes to adjust the bumper from where it is then you have issues somewhere else, ive been able to really adjust my bumpers in the past without having to open anything up so if you have to do so it would seem that the repair wasnt done properly to begin with

This is how bad the wreck was. I think that the parts that were bought and put on at the body shop were just very poorly built parts. I do body work myself, the only reason I didn't fix it is because I didn't have anywhere to do the work. And I was hoping that by taking it to someone that it would get done quicker but not only did it take longer it also looks bad too. And the passenger fender matches color wise it's just the truck is dirty and it's not in direct sun light.

well like we said earlier, the painted steel bumper would work great and look good on your truck, but IMO if you like the SRT bumper, it could be finessed to fit properly, and regardless of what you do, fix the nuts and bolts that hold your bumper on, the missing and incorrect ones on the truck now would concern me.

Your truck was the red twin to my project truck lol

I really appreciate all the input and help with this. I believe i will go with a painted steel bumper and take the SRT bumper off. Who do you recommend getting parts from? I've been looking at LMC because they seem to have everything I'll need.

LMC will have everything, but you usually pay a little more for it, local to me i have a place called "cert-i-fit" that sells all aftermarket OEM parts that body shops use, and they have really good prices

Yep. Look for a local place that sells replacement body parts to the auto body shops. Here, it's Jerry's Bumper Sales. They had my bumper in stock. I went with a CAPA certified bumper which are normally better quality and it was still like $130.

I was considering having my bumpers painted as well, there are a couple of sellers on eBay which paint match the the steel bumpers for less than $300 shipped to you. Since I was quoted $1000-1200 to have my chrome bumpers painted it makes sense to buy them pre-painted and ready to install.
