What's the best sealant to use to reseal the headlights after the retrofit? I scraped out all the old caulking so I have a good surface to work with

I've used outdoor silicone and it works great, you just need to leave the backs off for at least 24hrs so you don't haze the inside of the housing. Now I only use butyl rope though, 6 minutes in the oven and it's ready to come apart or go back together with a lot less mess than factory adhesive.

RetroRubber is the most popular way to go.

Is that something you can find at a hardware or auto parts store? Or something to order online? I'm trying to wrap this project up

I get my butyl rope through The Retrofit Source but if you have a place that installs windshields or a body repair supply they should carry it as well.
