Hi,

I am looking for information regaurding 305/55r20 tires on factory wheels. I think I would need a spacer of some sort for my 04 4x4 1500 hemi. However I am wondering how wide of a spacer and or if i just have the front lifted maybe and inch if that helps.

I am in need of new tires and have an inpection in jan 2014. I am not looking to move up to 35's nor am I looking to lift the truck up much higher then it is due to using the bed a lot.

If anyone has put spacers on their truck do you have pics of how far the wheels stick out? I am trying to stay away from fender flares but did notice with my stock tires of 275/60r20 I maybe have 1/2 inch before the CV joint.

I am simly after a squareish tire profile and do not want the bulge look. I run coopers right now and do not have an issue with them jusy thought somthing an inche wider would look a little better. I ask this question mostly because I found a new set of 305/55r20 micky atz a guy ordered as a wrong size and he litterly wants $700 for all 4 tries...thats a $1,400 set of tires.

I am looking at 305/55r20 coopers, and nitto terras, micky thompson atz.

Ive searched for wheel spacer and tire sizes on here but are not comming up with much.

This is just one of a few questions i have but need to get the tire issue done with.

I have factory 20's from 2004 and may bump up to factory 2006's or XD rock stars. Just hard to find pictures of these specific questions but I am new here also so I appologize in advace.

Depending upon the width of your rims you may not need the spacer. 9.5 inches is the minimum width for those tires to not need a spacer if the backspacing is right. It is not recommended putting that size tire on a rim smaller than 9.5 inches wide. With those tires you will need to get some fender flares to keep johny law off your back. Hope this helps.

i am assuming you have the stock 20's, and if so those tires will fit as your truck sits right now. No need for spacers

yea you can run that size tire with no issues

i have pics, of my 05 with flares, but i had wheels that stuck out so it looked good. With your stock wheels you probably wouldn't like the look of flares(your wheels will look tucked in even further)

in that pic i did have the torsion bars cranked, but when i first got the tires the suspension was stock and they didn't rub.

tire size is 33x12.5x20. 305/55/20 is real close to that

If they are on stock rims I'm wondering if they will rub. Not sure if I'm sold on flares. I did find a nice set of 06-08 5 spoke factory 20's a guy has FS with tires for $200. i like them rims on the style 1st of the 3 gens. I don't really like my wheels but i need to focus on more rising the bests rust and some body issues 1st. Did notice the price gap from 275/60r20 to 305/55r20 is crazy between most brands avering $125 more per tire.

I have 305 50 r20 right now so 305 55 will be same width just taller right?
